I am a solo guitarist specialising in providing gentle, uplifting live music for care homes, rest homes, and elderly audiences. My performances are designed to create a calm, comforting atmosphere that encourages relaxation, reminiscence, and enjoyment.
My repertoire spans from the 1950s through to the present day, with a strong focus on the much-loved classics of the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s. These familiar melodies often spark memories and bring a sense of connection and joy to residents.
Using carefully selected electronic effects, I create a rich, full sound that gives the impression of being accompanied by a soft string orchestra - adding depth and warmth while maintaining a gentle, soothing tone.
In addition to professional experience, I have volunteered performing for elderly and dementia patients at Southend Hospital, where I have seen first-hand the positive impact that music can have on wellbeing, mood, and engagement.
I am passionate about bringing meaningful musical experiences to those who benefit from it most, and I tailor each performance to suit the needs and preferences of every audience.
